So perfect for my 8 windows overlooking my tree lined city street. I didn't even take off my coat when I found her on the doorstep today. I rushed upstairs and put them together (click), the on/off switch is at the base of the candle - you need to remove it from the silver candlestick. They work well with the remote and I was surprised to find the 16 AA batteries that came with them. It was nice! Hooray for the Token Christmas Bounty! As for the folks in crab pants who thought they looked cheap, well, maybe under a bright neon light and a magnifying glass, you can't fool your nosy relatives that you're doing real manual labor. Candles in pristine silver candlesticks hand polished by your kitchen assistant. But I'm content with what they are: cute little fake flickering candles that I don't have to touch to light and won't burn my house down. 3 weeks later: still LOVE her! I have them on an 8 hour timer: from 4:30pm to 12:30pm. It's such a joy to see them in my windows when I get home from work. They will still run on the first set of batteries. I ordered two sets. Of the 16 candles, only one failed, and the company added a small note that if you have any problems, you will contact them directly and arrange a replacement. I have requested that one be replaced and I will update you on how quickly this will be done. However, I highly recommend it! They are sweet. 6 weeks later: still LOVE her! Hooray! I would like to thank the company directly for the great customer service (I did not use Revain but used the link they provided in the little flyer that came with the candles). Of the 16 candles, only one malfunctioned. And since I shared an order with my mother, I asked for an extra remote control. They responded immediately and then sent a replacement spark plug with a free extra remote. It was instant. The faulty one wasn't even asked to be returned, which is even better. They still turn on at 4:30pm and after 6 weeks are still running on the first set of batteries. So order! It's so amazing. x So go ahead and order.
