Ideal for small crafts as the mount releases with a simple push. However, this is not the quality required for upholstery work. The power of the weapon isn't strong enough and the staples don't stick well to the wood. The staples didn't lay flat, didn't fully sink into the wood, and bowed. It was no good reupholstering a dining room chair that doesn't require a high-powered gun. I was disappointed with this product for my particular project but I think it would be great for a less demanding project and for crafting.
