The design is good because the elastic band does not fit over the ears. Particularly useful for hearing aid wearers. However, the two layers of fabric are very thin and the elastic band is so thin that it hardly sticks to the face. This leaves gaps at the edges. Regarding the price, I would say that the main objective was to maximize the manufacturer's profit. I probably won't wear those two things that I paid a high price for. When replacing the mask after a few wears, I noticed that most of the air I breathe goes through the gaps between my face and the mask, particularly the sides of my nose. I would say that the only use of this mask is to give the appearance of wearing a mask without the benefits of a mask. Almost useless. Jimbene
