I don't think anyone can dispute how cute and soft it is in real life and I will update how it holds up after a few washes , but on the moment my biggest concern is that despite following the size chart, it's too tight on the chest for the cat I had in mind to wear on our walkie-talkies. The cat in the photo is about 12 pounds, medium sized, and I ordered medium. For this brand, for this cat I will order large next time to see if it helps. He can walk in Medium (and was delighted with his new sweatshirt, knowing it meant a new outdoor adventure on a leash!), but it limits him a bit and is uncomfortable to wear for more than a few minutes. I have a smaller cat that this might work with, but if you have a medium sized cat within the size range and the same weight I would recommend going for a large one just because the chest is tight. .
