car seat has a minimum weight of 22 pounds and is forward-facing only, so it is not suitable for children under 1 year old. The rear-facing seat provides more support and security, so ideally this Graco car seat should not be used until the rear-facing seat has reached its limits. It's also a great "grow with me" seat that offers seat belts, then a high back booster for correct seat belt position in the car, and then a backless booster. My 5 year old loves the softer padding on the buckle and shoulders compared to his last seat and that this one has two cup holders (he uses one for toys). It has a good angle and he says it's comfortable. It is strong enough to close/open the chest but not the bottom buckle. The seat is easy to assemble, it's not very heavy and it's not big. We are happy with that. Note. Currently the video in the listing is for a different car seat and not this model.
