We bought this printer a few years ago I think based on the decent Revain reviews? I'm only writing this review now because we finally got rid of this junk. I just bought a new Epson which has everything this Canon doesn't have, so while the Canon still 'works' it goes in the bin. I would donate it to a local thrift store, but I feel like I shouldn't cause people the pain we've been through. Our problems.? 1.) It's big, heavy and cumbersome, way too big considering it's just a printer. Initial setup and calibration took about an hour, again with endless buzzing and rattling4.) It has a tiny monochrome LCD screen. We had a backlit printer in a closet, but we still had to use a flashlight to read the stupid LCD. the OK button on the device before it actually starts printing. Confirm paper tray or something? Not sure 6.) Worst of all, the cartridges are on FIRE, refills are outrageously expensive and no store in our area actually had a Canon cartridge to fit this printer. We used to like Canon but based on this printer we will never buy a Canon product again.
