I bought this because I have severe joint pain, mostly at night when I'm trying to sleep. If you look at some feather beds, this is a erm feather topper/mattress. Undoubtedly worth the price and the wait. It's 5 inches and maybe more. Follow the directions and let it loosen up all day long. In the morning when you get up. Leave your blankets and give them a good shake to fluff up the feathers and let them settle and blow out. I put my blankets at my feet and then put them on when I go to bed. Yes, it's worth it. I give 4 stars for the stretch because they don't stretch. They climb! I love it! I love it! I love it! Many Thanks.
