My setup: I have a VERY heavy mattress (18 inches thick) and a spring block that sits on one of those little adjustable metal frames with wheels. These risers worked well for me to get a little off the ground so I could store hobby supplies under my bed. The entire composition is on the carpet. Pros: The risers are pretty strong and light - I wasn't worried about them being able to support the weight of the bed with or without me. I'm a small person (5ft tall) but I toss and turn when I sleep and still haven't noticed a difference in bed movement when using stand up aids. Since it's on carpet, I didn't use the included spacers that go under the risers. I tried it but it didn't work on carpet. Removing the underlay worked much better - although I imagine if you were laying the composite on a hardwood floor the underlay would be necessary. so that the wheels still roll too freely in the risers. My solution was to put some old rags in the wheel well for extra cushioning and fill in the empty space and it's worked really well so far. All in all they were great with a few tweaks!
