These fairy lights were the absolute best. In 2014, I ordered three different kinds, and only these kept going strong year after year. These were simple, they plugged in, came on, and stayed on all the time. They were nice, easy, and simple. My lights from 2014 are still going strong in 2021. They stay on all the time, and they're still on. These were so great that in 2020, I ordered another strand of fairy lights from this same listing. However, they are not the same. They do not simply plug in and stay on all the time. These new ones have settings. There are 8 settings that I have to manually click through to get to the one (setting 8) where they stay on unblinking. However, once they're on, they turn off by themselves after exactly 6 hours (hello, hidden timer). If I want them back on, I have to manually go back through all 8 settings again. Recently, they started coming on by themselves everyday at 11:55 am. That's great, as I'm not having to click through 8 settings to turn them on. However, they do still turn themselves off after 6 hours. They were the best, nice, easy, and simple. Now, they're complicated with a lot of blinking, distracting, too much, fussy settings I don't need, and they turn themselves off after a set amount of time. The lights on the redesign are also wider and bigger than on my original set, which look more dainty. The original ones also appeared to have more of a warmer tone. If you want a simple set of lights that stay on all the time, these unfortunately no longer fulfill that bill.
