At the moment I can say that the cutting lines and the smoothing are very good. I do not regret this purchase. The hammer looks solid, balanced, functional and well made. You need to coat this hammer yourself with a good tung oil or polyurethane etc. Honestly, it's better if you can apply the finish or stain however you like. I love a natural finish that I can reapply once a year and you can't.
