Description of 🔨 Master the Art of Woodworking with Bora 540049: Well Balanced & Damage Free

Well balanced for precision and comfort , this wood mallet is carefully crafted to feel good in your hand while swinging and striking, you’ll know its quality workmanship the second you pick it up. Large hardwood striking face, made of hard, kiln-dried European Beechwood, the 4 1⁄2” head (with 2”x3” striking face) allows for exceptional power, without damaging your material. Tapered handle for additional strength, the wood mallet head is secured by a 9” tapered Beechwood handle, making it impossible for the head to fly off, the handle is also smooth, splinter free, and easy to grip. Exceptional for woodworking and other uses, this woodworkers mallet (or carpenters mallet, if you prefer) is ideal for joining work, striking chisels, and other woodworking uses and it crushes ice like a champ as well (that makes it an ice mallet too). Looks great, we know looks aren’t the most important feature when buying a wood mallet, but it doesn’t hurt, either, this one looks great on your pegboard, and is a tool you’ll be proud to own.

Robust tool, not too heavy

Robust construction, very pleasant weight. All in all, this is a good deal. It arrived unfinished and needed a bit of sanding on the handle, but 10 minutes of work got it right.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Suitable for striking with a chisel.

Acceptable quality and price. Unfortunately, the grip doesn't quite feel right when I use it. But I have big hands and need a very large glove size. In general, it's pretty usable.

Too soft wood. - Power tools and hand tools

The wood is too soft to be very strong, each blow leaves quite deep marks. I won't use much of it until it's thrown away. It's okay if you have expensive tools that you don't want to damage with a metal hammer, but I wouldn't buy them again.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Minor problems

But nice hammer. - Hammers

As soon as I unpacked it, I noticed that the handle was never quite finished and had to be sanded and smoothed in a few places. I would have thought it would be better considering these guys build hammers all the time. Otherwise, this is a well-functioning mallet.

Chipped while chipping

Hammer cut in half after two days of heavy use chipping wood. Just in case, we will attach a steel band to the next hammer. Good price but didn't expect such a short hammer life to hit the wood shank of the chisel, there weren't any major dents on the face. Fixing with wood glue and screws really works when chiseling.

Not suitable for grooving

Not suitable for grooving, even in pine and YES with a sharp chisel. This is intended for fine work rather than heavy felling. But as I should have known the beech wouldn't survive lol. The handle is also oddly shaped, flat rather than round, so it doesn't fit my hand. ready to finish it myself as stated in other reviews

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Nothing here

Quality in cut and finish

At the moment I can say that the cutting lines and the smoothing are very good. I do not regret this purchase. The hammer looks solid, balanced, functional and well made. You need to coat this hammer yourself with a good tung oil or polyurethane etc. Honestly, it's better if you can apply the finish or stain however you like. I love a natural finish that I can reapply once a year and you can't.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Secret

Is it weird to rate a stick?

Very nice mallet. Just the right size, just the right weight and well made. It's basically a stick which makes reviews seem weird, but if you don't have this hammer you'll be looking for something else that doesn't work either, so just buy a hammer and have it handy when you need it. I've used mine a dozen times in just a few months.

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • Small parts

Bora Mallet 4 1/2 " Beech

Until you pair this mallet with a good set of chisels, you won't know how important and useful it can be for woodworking and grooving or grooving. Of course you can Use your steel headed hammer but it hits too hard and can cause the chisel to scratch the work. But this mallet is excellent and adds just enough weight and measured punch to allow you to slice and slice more accurately.Basically it teaches you to be more patient and improve your performance.Five stars!

Pros
  • Hand Tool
Cons
  • No Productivity

Roughly made good for hammers

This is a mallet. It will serve its purpose. However, I am not satisfied for the price. My example doesn't say "Made in England" like the Revain picture, leading me to believe mine was made in a third world country. The fit and finish support this theory. It arrived with a large chip on the corner face. Or it was damaged in transit in a plastic bag that the seller thought was shippable. I felt the need to spend 45 minutes grinding the instrument because it was very rough. I'd happily pick one…

Pros
  • hammers
