I don't usually carry many valuables with me but it's very reassuring to know that I can store some valuables in this safe and not rely on mine Hiding stuff elsewhere in my truck. I engage in active recreation, which does not always allow me to take all my valuables with me. Installation was easy and all you have to do is remove the console cover. spin it Ready. Just make sure your code is set above anything, there's nothing in it. I also used some packing material to fill the gap on the passenger side of the unit. Things can fall there and get lost in the void unless you unscrew and remove the safe. One thing that bothered me was how difficult it was to dial the code when it was locked. The mechanism somehow connected the movement of numbers. So I took apart the parts of the lock and adjusted it a bit. Now it works great.
