What we liked was the number of toys to play with. My husband and daughter love building things together and getting creative and they definitely did. What could be improved is the strength of the floors and walls. They're thin cardboard and good for spots, but fly off track with extended play. The roof was the same and we used duct tape to hold it up. If it was thin hard plastic or thicker wood it would be much easier to assemble and more durable. They took about a day to put together, so I definitely wouldn't be in a rush to do it in a few hours. I recommend deciding on the design first and then building with the child. As for long-term storage. I would have the box broken if not in daily use. Walls and floors begin to crumble. The girls loved the dollhouse and the opportunity to build their own four story house.
