BMI is absurdly inaccurate, don't buy

Do I look fat? On this scale I prior to purchasing this scale I had older Tanita models which lasted a few years. I felt it was very accurate and my stats after doctor visits were similar. Fantastic product! This new version is a waste of money. I entered all the information about myself as instructed in the instructions which was easy. On Friday I went to the doctor and was weighed. My actual weight was pretty accurate given my clothes. The BMI on this scale is VERY INACCURATE! I weighed myself at home this morning and Tanita gave me a BMI of 34.5 and said I was FAT! Exactly as stated since I started using it on July 20th. When my doctor's office weighed me last Friday, my BMI was 26.2, so I asked my doctor who does what he preaches. This scale is priceless to me because I now question the rest of the stats it provides. I wish I still had my old Tanita, I liked her. It's too late to return now. My photo is a bit silly but that's the only one I could find. I may have a little fat here and there, like any 57-year-old woman, but to tell myself that I'm fat is completely absurd. Not exactly. My BMI is greater than my weight. Too bad I didn't install it sooner.
