Good UPS Inverter - Good Value

We recently purchased and installed a 2000w/12vdc unit to provide backup power to several critical equipment. The inverter is quite heavy, looks well built (from the outside). ) and has been running for a few weeks now. The documentation is fairly basic and only contains "screenshots" of the various menu options. In our unit, built-in AC outlets are wired HOT/NEUTRAL in reverse order. However, the wired output is correctly connected. We're ok with this because we only use the wired output. I don't think it will be a big problem if other outlets are Line/Neutral only, but some electrical equipment may not work properly. to the backup battery without problems (LINE POWER PRIORITY SETTING). We love that there's an option to prioritize the DC source, which would be useful if you're using solar and want to prioritize solar. Of course, for this you need to provide panels, wiring and a charge controller for the installation. We've added a "Battery Monitor" to better "see" how much power we're using and having. Stay on battery when needed. I would highly recommend this setup to others as the built in components don't seem to give exact numbers (we have a desktop computer, a printer, a 15w LED lamp and an inverter powered IP phone and it says, we would only have 3% inverter utilization - which cannot be true). We wanted to somehow test our battery usage in a "backup" situation. All in all, a device in this price range does what it should, looks well made and works as expected. We give it a solid 4 stars but are holding one back due to output wiring issues and battery monitoring inconsistencies.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
