works exactly as described. I use it in my laundry room/room, especially as the overhead light socket is a bare bulb that is not connected to a light switch. The door is closed most of the time so it doesn't turn on accidentally - if I left the door open it would (as it should). Lasts as long as I need, even when I'm hanging clothes out to dry. It looks good enough for a utility room (storage/garage) and is very bright. Also note that this is 3000K. So while it's still on the warm side of the color spectrum (yellow/orange light), it's not as warm as Edison bulbs (typically 2700K). But perfect for my application!
