Review on NiteRider Lumina 900 Boost: Powerful USB Rechargeable Bike Light for All-Terrain & Road Riding - Enhanced Lumens, Water Resistant, Easy Installation for Optimal Cycling Safety by Juan Crane

Revainrating 4 out of 5

New Lumina 900 DOA. but my 5 year old Lumina 600 still works fine. - I screwed up

DOA. mine had a dreaded blinking red LED, battery not charging, light not coming on. general. Either the battery is dead or the circuit board has failed. My bet is the board. I have a 5 year old Lumina 600 that still works great, but NiteRider seems to have forgotten about quality control. I need another light but now I can choose another brand. Edit: Okay, I messed that up. I replaced this device with another NiteRider, the Lumina 1000 amp and saw my mistake. I had an older Lumina so when I took the 900 out of the box and it didn't work I thought it was defective when it actually needed to be unlocked. I also found some information online that suggests this behavior is due to a loose battery connector, so I didn't go back to the instructions. and immediately sent an RMA. I ended up not reading the funny instructions that said it had to be unlocked. what I actually saw with the new Lumina 1000. This is the first time I've returned something that wasn't defective and I feel stupid. One star deducted because the 900 came with a rubber band clamp, not the nice screw clamp that my older unit had. and the new Lumina 1000 Boost. Otherwise the 900 I sent back was a solid and probably very bright light, just like every other Niterider product I've had.
