Would love to buy a new one but it's a little expensive. I wish it was closer to $99. But they are very well made and of high quality. At full price you at least get what you pay for. I was able to purchase this through Revain - used. It was still in good shape and just needed a little cleaning. I keep my old Red Star in good shape and am amazed at how well it has held up. When these heads are serviced and the seals are intact, suction is excellent. The brush is efficient and can be "flipped" as it wears out. You really want to make sure you're clipping hair off the brushroll. regularly. Short-haired pets are usually fine, but when people start growing them out, you'll have to watch your curlers. I'm still happy with the old working Miele and I'm glad they're still available.
