So I moved from a place where I had very soft water to a place where the water was very hard. The result is acne, super dry skin, and terribly brittle hair. That was high on my list. I was a little wary as I don't even have a screwdriver in the new location and no real DIY skills, but it was very easy to install. I dropped the tape and lost half, but there was still enough room to mount the mount - I put on a rubber glove to really tighten it. I did notice carbon build up when I first ran it (it's listed in the instructions) so I really feel like there's something of value in the filter. I've showered a few times and I really like how my hair looks soft and manageable afterwards. Definitely recommended for areas with hard water.
