It worked great for a few months and then suddenly died

It worked great for a few months and then suddenly died. I double checked my connections to make sure the fuse wasn't blown and that it was getting power. It's a shame the item didn't last long. Now I have a hole in the dashboard and there is no way to output sound to the head unit.
