Review on Ceramic Ginger Grater Stripper 16 5Cm by Will Anderson

Expensive but I love it

This is a beautiful ceramic item. I wanted a large spoon holder and didn't plan to spend more than $8; I saw it though and since it's minimal but large and triple like a herb stripper and garlic grater I figured why not. I've never had the last two and while I plan to use them infrequently, there's no harm in having them in the kitchen. I would most likely use a fresh ginger grater; I hope it survives. I'd like to grate fresh turmeric, but since it stains horribly, I'll stick with turmeric tablets or powder. However, it appears to be well made and non-porous/well glazed and clears up in a jiffy. Perfect for a spoon stand to keep spatulas/spoons covered in fat/sauce while cooking and to save my countertop. I don't know if the spatula is visible in the photo but there is a slight edge/curve that allows the spoon to lay more securely. For the price I think it's high quality, but could have been sold a little cheaper. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.
