I use a USB dongle that allows me to stream my iMac's audio output to a 1/8-inch audio cable. I have two different headphones that I use, but each for different purposes. I have to switch from one to the other two or three times a day. I didn't like reaching for my computer to pull out a 1/8" cable and plug in another, not to mention the likely increase in cable wear. and on a (expensive) key. However, with this device I can quickly and easily switch from one output cable to another with the push of a button. You can see at a glance which device is switched on. (And if I ever need to add an additional audio device or two, I can do that too.) Great!
