Review on ⚡ Metal Power Strip Surge Protector with 6 Outlets & 6FT Cord - Wall Mount, ETL Approved by Fred Maki

Good extension cord, surge protection questionable

This is a good extension cord. It's supposed to be a surge protector, but there's no identifying information on the product so I wouldn't rely on it. It is not UL listed (nor any other certification). Don't use it for expensive and sensitive electronics that you really need surge protection for. As a normal power strip, it is therefore quite expensive. But the outlets are well spaced and I like that they're rotated perpendicular to the power strip. Some appliance manufacturers rotate their plugs the other way so that they fit better when plugged directly into the wall, and if you have one, it's not ideal for you. But for bulky plugs with a standard orientation, this is great. There's also an outlet that's even further apart in case you have a really big honking plug. There is a power button that lights up when the band is turned on. Straight fork (not angled for use behind furniture). The sockets are firm and really will hold anything you plug into them. The strip is very heavy, which can be a good thing. It seems strong and durable. There are keyhole holes on the back for attaching the bar to the wall, but these are only suitable for horizontal mounting. The product page says screws are included but there weren't any in the box. Overall, this is a good power strip, but it doesn't rely on surge protection.
