Review on 🗜️ Enhanced Stability with Ram Mount RAM-B-166U Double Ball Twist-Lock Suction Cup Mount by Nate Mims

I ordered this last week. It comes in two parts - a twist lock suction cup base and a socket arm. You don't have to worry as only two Phillips screws are required for attachment. When I received the package I was actually on a business trip and needed this mount for a project (it was sent to me at the hotel). Luckily I ended up with a small Phillips screwdriver in my luggage. What worries me is that when fitting the bushing to the base of the suction cup, the second screw wouldn't fully tighten - it's almost as if the threads in the (plastic) base of the twistlock suction cup were stripped. The first screw is tightened well without over-tightening. The "loose" screw was left in place so it was not 100% removed, but it is definitely not as secure as the other screw. I will return it for exchange. Despite the downside I had no choice and used the mount (with a stand to mount an iPhone 6 RAM) and for the most part it seemed pretty secure. I noticed some jitter in the video I recorded with this mount, so I'm not sure if it's due to my particular mount being partially defective or if it's normal.
