Review on πŸ”Š Optimized ZVOX AV200 TV Speaker Technology by Tony Andrews

Reading glasses for the ears!

It seems more and more TV shows are using foreign stars who like to mumble - either that or I'm just getting older. After spending a year figuring out Jonny Lee Miller's version of Sherlock Holmes, Lie to Me, every Marvel movie ever made and constantly turning up the volume or using subtitles (which I hate since they're from the distract action), I finally came across this awesome box. Connecting to the optical output was easy (cable included!), and the remote control was very easy to figure out. But best of all - it works very well! I can finally fully understand Johnny and all the other mumbling on TV. My wife loves it because she no longer has to watch TV at 75% volume. I set the AccuVoice speaker to 9 or 10 and it has the voice clarity needed to pair perfectly with the TV at 35% volume. As a side note, I've been an audio engineer by trade for over 20 years and have spent quite a bit of time tweaking my TV's audio including adjusting the treble, bass, mid, ClearVoice, Surround, etc. I've also tried the two main audio names . Bars that didn't help at all and my wife hated both. I wasn't a fan either. This box actually does what it promises - it makes the voice clearer. This isn't a soundbar with the advertised fake surround sound and nasty artifacts. It's not just a speaker that just makes the sound louder. It amplifies and refines the vocal part of the audio. If you're like me - 54 years old with working ears but you need help - then this box is for you. Think of it like reading glasses +2.0 for your ears!
