Beautiful black very thin metal shelves attractive enough for living room furniture

TLDR certified. Be sure to tighten the corner screws just enough to fully insert the shelf's legs into their respective semi-circular cutouts. Any further folding and flaring of the shelf's thin sheet metal at the corners ruins its clean, straight geometry. Be sure to measure everything with a ruler before even tightening the screws as the black paint scrapes off very easily if you try to make adjustments on the fly. The knobs on the legs do NOT provide height adjustment - they are just there to make assembly easier. -------------------------These black metal shelves are really very good in many ways, they are really good enough for living room decoration, they also match very well for home office use and I see some other reviewers. happy to use them for basement workshop purposes (I'd cringe to mourn this lovely shelf above, but crumple, dent, warp and scratch whatever you want I guess) I'll point this out, although the information in the ad is incorrect (You might would be deceptive) As for the ability to increase height with spring loaded buttons, this is absolutely NOT TRUE, you've seen them before on height adjustable legs with lots of grooved holes, but with these tubular legs there's only one that fits Hole for the flute and obviously the ONLY PURPOSE of this knob arrangement is to allow the rod leg to be split into 2 smaller pieces for transport, that's all it's there for. There is NO dynamic height adjustment on this product of the shelves, I will also mention that the instructions do not give the slightest indication of how dangerous it is to assemble these shelves, firstly, no matter how important, it is inevitable that it will lead to scratches and scuffs on the black paint when attaching the shelves to the legs of the shelf. So have a black marker ready. The reason for this is that there are semi-circular cutouts in each of the 4 corners. The shelf that the bars attach to are very tight and actually require you to have the appropriate screws tightened to pull the bar legs flush into these semi-circles, thereby the black color is guaranteed to get worse if at any point you decide to adjust the shelf When tightening these screws up or down a fraction of a millimeter, the instructions should WARN us so we are extremely careful, everything as low as possible MEASURE the bolt positions (remember gravity) BEFORE EVER TIGHTENING the bolts. Make sure they are accurate before tightening these screws, also glue the WHITE TRIANGULAR PLASTIC INSERT in each corner to the hollow bottom if needed, they SHOULD BE BLACK as there are small gaps in the shelf skirts on each corner, where you can take a look inside and see that WHITE plastic that's beautiful under the black and those cheap triangular hollow plastic fittings had to be STRONG because they DEFORM and swell outwards when you tighten the screws to a that is greater than "tight enough" and this will cause the thin sheet metal corner of each shelf to expand outward, permanently cracking the original straight sheet metal seam and spoiling the finished assembled furniture, the instruction was WARNING not to overtighten these screws and run CAREFULLY CONTROL the bar legs and draw them in a semi-circle. Corner cutouts and this is my advice to you, BE CAREFUL when tightening the screws and CONTROL the process of pulling the rack's legs in and STOP when the rack's leg is stuffed into the semi-circular cut-out as any further tightening will sure to distort the corners, exposing the black painted can there and degrading the look of the WHITE cheap plastic underneath.
