Review on 💻 ACASIS USB4.0 M.2 Thunderbolt 3 NVMe Dock: Portable Type-C SSD Reader & Tool-Free Enclosure at 40Gbps by Doug Layman

ACASIS USB4.0 Mobile M.2 Nvme Enclosure - great product! I first tried this SSD enclosure with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB SSD and unfortunately for unknown reasons no good write performance when connected to Thunderbolt 3. Read performance was good but write speed on my MacBook Pro 16 was only around 1100MB/ s. I then tried the SSD enclosure with a Western Digital Black SN750 2TB SSD and got about the same results. I then tried the SSD enclosure with a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD and got much better results! Connected to Thunderbolt 3 on my MacBook Pro 16, I got 2435 MB/s read and 2285 MB/s write. On my Dell XPS 13 9310, I got even better results with a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD at 2959MB/s read and 2758MB/s write. It's a great SSD enclosure, but performance is heavily dependent on which SSD you're using. I also like that this case has solid build quality and is USB-C and USB-A compatible.
