We've been using Downy April Fresh for decades with no problems. Then my husband started an allergic reaction in the form of hives and scratching. We don't know if they changed the original formula or not. All we knew was that we were looking for a new fabric softener. We first tried the unscented Downy brand, but I was missing some freshness in our underwear. We came across it in the supermarket and gave it a try. I've been using it for over a year and my husband hasn't had any problems at all. It has a pleasant smell, but it's not very persistent. All is well. This makes our clothes soft and fluffy, and without itching, we feel fine. We can't find it in the grocery store anymore so I'm glad Revain has it at a very good price.
