I wear glasses and using the clip on my laptop could cause glare/reflection on my glasses and the light was distracting me from the room I was using the Lum Cube in. I had to raise the cube to get the light on my face, but it gets pretty bright. I experimented with different ideas and found that raising the light up and pointing it down worked well - so I bought this accessory and it allowed me to sit farther from the screen to have enough light so it wasn't distracting or distracting. reflection in my glasses. It's a unique design and you can put a small camera in it, but I haven't tried it. It works great with the Lum Cube and has a tilt head which is a great feature.
