My first professional watercolor kit and I love it. Since I bought them, I also took along a couple of Daniel Smith and Schmincke paints to compare. Sennelier paints are just as good and in some cases better than the other two leading brands. I like that they are pigmented and smooth. Easier to activate than the other two as they have a honey base. This 12+6 pack offers the best value if you want a professional palette. I stuffed my other colors in, so now I have 30 colors. If I had to have only one watercolor brand, it would without a doubt be Sennelier.
