Review on Novelty Lights Christmas Replacement Candelabra Light Bulbs by Felicia Gonzalez

Missing color patches and TOO HOT to the touch

I ordered these in blue and white thinking I was ordering from the same company as green and red last year. I went for about 10 out of 50 strands on the lightbulb and felt warm around my legs (sitting on the floor). The blue pears felt hot. The blue onions had colored spots that were missing from at least half of the onions. I know lightbulbs can get hot so I kept changing 25 because I couldn't get them back. Some of the spots were orange, but I couldn't get these shots because it got too hot and smelled too much of burnt plastic to look for a pair of those bulbs. So the photos are few. It doesn't really show in photos as it's difficult to photograph the light, but overall the paint is very "thin" like a thin coat that needs a second coat. I won't use them because I smelled burnt plastic when I replaced 25 lightbulbs. I thought I had reordered from the same company I bought last year. But the packaging is different. The red and green bulbs I swapped out stayed cool the entire time and the color is fantastic. Not dyed color but solid coloring. The brand name for the box of red lightbulbs is Wintergreen Lighting. The red lamp box is part number 73-946 for opaque C7 lamps. These bulbs came in a box that allows the bulbs to sit in their individual sockets and not fall off or rub against each other (red bulbs shown). Novelty Lights white and blue bulbs are supplied in sockets separated by cardboard dividers, some boxes did not fit. You start taking out the lightbulbs and they fall into the box because the dividers are thin.
