They are good for what they are.

I bought 225 of these bulbs and am very happy with the look. As these were my first fairy lights I've ever bought I have no comparison but I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 as some of them broke in transit; and 5-6 failed in the few days I used them. I have used them in combination with 2x '100' C7 Outdoor Christmas Stingers' and 'All in one light clips for C7/C9', both from the same company, Novelty Lights Inc. I also have two outdoor light extensions and two weatherproof outdoor timers…

Higher maintenance than mini lights and LEDs, but worth it for those of us who are nostalgic.

Nothing wrong with them; I've ordered about 500 bulbs and the vast majority of them work just fine. None of them broke. Like the C7 bulbs of the 80's and 90's, these bulbs burn out randomly. This means that some of them will work the first time, some will survive multiple seasons of use, and a select few will never work to begin with. This is nothing new for those of us who clearly remember having used C7 lights in the past. Take that into account and order lots of spare parts. C7 and C9 lamps…

Missing color patches and TOO HOT to the touch

I ordered these in blue and white thinking I was ordering from the same company as green and red last year. I went for about 10 out of 50 strands on the lightbulb and felt warm around my legs (sitting on the floor). The blue pears felt hot. The blue onions had colored spots that were missing from at least half of the onions. I know lightbulbs can get hot so I kept changing 25 because I couldn't get them back. Some of the spots were orange, but I couldn't get these shots because it got too hot…
