Can't dial flat, awful manual

#1 If you're not used to doing something like this, I'd recommend doing it gradually. The last thing you want is for your hand/arm to start hurting when you're in a valuable part of the setup where you really can't stop! First, the manual says to pre-drill 5/32 holes 2 inches deep for the 3 screws that will be screwed into the wall studs. When I looked at the size of the bolts and how deep they were, I just knew he wasn't even going to cut them. And I was right. 5/32 was nowhere near a large enough pilot hole and I doubt even Hercules could fit these bolts into a wall stud with a pilot hole that small. I re-drilled the holes and this time used a 1/4" drill bit. Worked well, it was still very difficult to screw in but I managed. The manual was really terrible as the bracket (which is in the was in the unopened box) was partially pre-assembled but not done right I thought I missed a piece or something Looking at the photo at the bottom of the box I realized what I needed to do and quite frankly on this one Point it was enough to finish, what remains is another mount that fits the benq better, this mount clearly needs a projector with much thicker mounting screws than the benq ones, and the workaround to get this mount working with benq , doesn't seem like such a good idea. Let's see if that thing falls off. What's really funny is that the projector is mounted right over my head. If this thing falls, it hurts like a nut right I think I'm not very smart! The main arm was just long enough to hold the power cord and HDMI cable. One of my HDMI cables had too much strain relief so I had to use a different one, but it worked. My main complaint is that I can't get the picture flush with the wall. I need to rotate it a bit but I don't see a way to do it. The rotation appears to be blocked by two screws facing you when you look directly at it, but I can't turn them to loosen them at this point. This is really frustrating because if I press lightly on one side of the projector it goes flat but then it reverts to a slightly warped projected image. Hex screwdriver. But damn, I wish I'd just installed the shelf. It would be a lot easier.

Pros
  • Individual height adjustment for each mounting arm
Cons
  • weak
