Bought two Schumacher SE-1-12S in September 2013. -State version (heavyweight) since 2000. The 2000L model still fuels my alternator. However, I have one of the Schumacher SE-1-12S installed under my mower's seat. He did a great job and then passed away in April 2020. I installed the other under the hood of a truck that we never use. We never use this charger either. I think we've used it once or twice in the last 5 years. When I wanted to steal one for the truck, that didn't work either. I'm not sure how to test this, but the LEDs don't light up when AC and battery are connected. The mower was outputting -23 volts when not connected to the battery. I think there should be +14 volts or nothing at all. I connected both to a dead 11.5 volt battery and couldn't read the voltage change when connected to the battery and not connected to the battery. I assume both are broken. I had hoped to live at least a few more years. I really like the 2000 model. Twenty years and it's still flowing.
