Mackie is a well-established company and while their products have had success from time to time, they have still managed to bring quality equipment into the professional consumer audio industry. However, I think this mic could be prone to failure. It came quickly, well packaged and the mic itself is pretty good. Until I plugged in my Apollo and gosh the sound was awful. My vocals came out quite muddy and muffled, there was no body or air to bring the vox to life, the same with guitars is probably best used as overhead, I wouldn't even add it to a podcast setup. There are better ways
