Sounds bad! go to Microphones & Accessories

Mackie is a well-established company and while their products have had success from time to time, they have still managed to bring quality equipment into the professional consumer audio industry. However, I think this mic could be prone to failure. It came quickly, well packaged and the mic itself is pretty good. Until I plugged in my Apollo and gosh the sound was awful. My vocals came out quite muddy and muffled, there was no body or air to bring the vox to life, the same with guitars is…

Amazing sound quality!

I read and looked at a few reviews on this before ordering and they were all great for the most part. Upon ordering and installing it (using the it! brand mic mount - also highly recommended) I was immediately impressed with the sound quality. My mic now sounds better than anyone when my friends are at odds and I've had many compliments on the quality. The recorded audio sounds great too! It works great as a microphone for voice recording or voice chat. I haven't tried to record music on it…

Pros
  • Shipping was very quick
Cons
  • Sparse instructions

love this mic and the sound. I was very disappointed to find that it only works with an adapter to convert it from an old USB to C. That's why I docked it to a star. I tested it at home and will test it properly when using it. This is from church tomorrow when I use it for the zoom service. The processing makes a solid and good impression. The mini mic stand is very humble and will come out on a decent stand tomorrow. Overall it's good value for money, apart from the quirky need for an adapter.

Great Microphone - Microphones

I am really impressed with this product. I saw it in a video on YouTube. This guy Edward Smith was testing cheap mics and this was one of them, it sounded better than the others and I wanted to try it myself. The sound is really clear and what surprised me the most was the lack of unwanted background noise. I don't have to isolate myself to record decent vocals. I compared it to old Neewer mic recordings and the difference was huge. I like the size and the design. The only downside is that it…

Not great but still better than Neewer

There should only be one factory in China making cheap mics as they seem to be made the same regardless of brand. The Mackie condenser microphone is built on the same frame/body as the Neewer. It uses the same (dime sized) condenser capsule and sounds very similar to the Neewer NW-700. Inside, Neewer holds the capsule in a hard plastic frame that transmits a lot of noise and rumble when working, while Mackie uses a rubberized mount to keep that from happening. That's the only difference I could

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • reliability

Suitable for solo recordings / classical singing lessons!

- I've looked at a lot of dynamic mics and as soon as you're 3 feet away you sound like you're in a drum. - I looked at a lot of condenser mics and they were all too sensitive and bright. .Almost every mic review has someone whispering softly into the mic and calling it singing, some useless spoken word podcasting (EQ is always added anyway) and nothing is said about what it sounds like when a real trained singer sings opera or leader / classical representative. As a vocal student you try half…

48V XLR version with phantom power

I personally like this mic. It's reasonably priced but feels solid and sounds like more expensive mics I've worked with in the past. The dynamic range is excellent. The frequency response is really excellent for this price range. So far I've tried everything from rolls of tape to breath sounds, thunderstorms, spoken words, a chimney, a lawn mower, a blower and a grass cutter. I sampled my bugle, trumpet, and acoustic guitar, and it captured every nuance of the performance, even my favorite tube

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires power outlet

I bought the EM91C (XLR version) from Revain. I recently sold it after 5 months because I wanted to try another mic and it lost out compared to the used AT 2035 I bought and the Behringer XM8500 which I really consider the budget king of mics, if you want something with character. for podcasts and games. I liked the XM8500, I sold Mackie and bought a Behringer SB78A. This mic is also decent for the money, but only if you speak directly into it and de-ess/cut the high frequencies. Let's get back

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine
