My waist is exactly 48 inches. Size 50, according to the tip. They say: "The size of the belt corresponds to the measurement. from the inner end of the buckle to the 3rd [middle] hole. I agree, when I measured the belt I got exactly 50 inches that way. But why do you need such measurements? When wearing the belt, the hole that the pin goes through is on the OUT end of the buckle. If I measure this strap from the outer end of the buckle, the distance to the 5th (last) hole is 49 inches. This belt is too big for me or anyone with a 48 waist. I'm looking at a new belt that needs new holes to make it smaller and will give me about 7 inches of excess. I have no idea about the other reviews where people said they need 2 or 3 sizes up, other than that they were from a few years ago. Reading helped me find the wrong size.
