These pouches are the perfect replacement for expensive FoodSaver pouches. The bags are sturdy and well made, just like the FoodSaver bags but a lot cheaper. We vacuum pack tons of chicken, steak, hamburger and smoothie products to last the summer and beyond. For fruit smoothies, we go to Safeway (not our favorite place to shop) as they have large sliced fruit bowls that we take home, separate the fruit as we like, and then vacuum pack them along with more fresh organic blueberries and strawberries. We also vacuum to get a pain reliever, put the herb in a small container and vacuum to keep it fresh, our favorite soap to keep the strong scent, and sometimes when there's a lipstick we really like , we vacuum it too . before it is set. In fact, very few foods cannot be vacuum packed to preserve freshness. These bags are available in pints, quarts and gallons.
