Review on πŸ‘“ Wally e.Reader Reading Glasses: The Ultimate Solution for Men by Foster Grant by Larry Cole

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You look good. for reading glasses

Good modern eyebrow frames. Polycarbonate lenses. There seems to be a blue oily sheen on the lenses. If you turn your head or look out of the corner of your eye, the focus at the edge of the lens becomes blurred, so that you practically only have to look straight ahead. I also have a cheaper pair of Foster Grant Dustin models with plastic lenses (CR-39? Maybe not) and they are sharp no matter which way you turn your head. The pupillary distance (PD) of these glasses is 58.5Β±1mm and my eyes are a little further apart, about 64mm (nearly average) so Wally seems to be designed for people whose eyes are closer than average Dustin Model has a PD of 64+-2mm and is almost perfect for me. I give Foster Grant credit for the PD markings on my frames. I'm wondering if the edge blur is related to the PD mismatch between the glasses and my head? I will keep these Wallys in my jacket pocket to put on, read the fine print and then take off because the frames are good but not used for reading books or the web. I rate them almost ok, no big lenses, good frames. I assume they block the blue spectrum, which is why I fell in love with them, but that's probably less important than the PD measurement and edge blurring.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
