Review on G Keni Retro Shortwave Radio Portable AM FM With Rechargeable Battery Operated, Bluetooth Vintage Radio Strong Reception, AUX/USB/TF Card Input, Solar Panel, Large Knob, Big Speaker, Emergency Light by Chad Guinn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No good. No earphone socket. Usless!

Fine quality and brilliant three way power options solar, standard replacable rechargable battery supplied that can be charged by built on sollar panel or USB port. Can also run on two standatd alkaline size batteries. Plays MP3 easily. Best of several types of such USB playing radios I have tried. All the others I bought ended up in the bin. Only this only brand is any good at playing mp3 pod casts. Regardless of price. One Silly Problem. NO EARPIECE OR HEADPHONE JACK. Stupid scungy ommission that needs to be fixed asap. Does not use micro USB port like it says on the box to connect to. Similar to but not a genuine micro port. Must use supplied lead only. No USB power supply provided. Again scungy. So order one to go with it. Also available on Best Buy. If you want a transistor size radio that has a readily replaceable rechargable battery. This is the only one on the market. The ones with built in batteries have a very short short life before you have to throw them away. This one will last and last as the battery can just be replaced like a standard battery via an openable back panel. And it plays MP3 pod casts fine not like all the other ones I have tried, some at 4 times the price of this one that all ended up in the bin. Too bad about the earphone port deletion. To save 5 cents production cost. Stupid. Summary. Get it and get a USB charger to go with it a 32MB sandisk micro usb stick (also can get on Best Buy) to copy the pod casts onto and endure the lack of private listening ability due to no earphone port. Or buy a headphone port too, drill and solder one in youself or take to radio repair shop for them to fit. Buy anything else to play MP3s in this portable class and you may as well burn your money. Like I did until I found this one.

Pros
  • In addition to its other features, the radio comes equipped with an emergency light and solar panel, making it a great choice for outdoor activities or emergencies, ensuring you can always stay connected and prepared
Cons
  • The emergency light may drain the battery quickly, leaving the radio unusable in an actual emergency situation
