I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others. It has a much higher airflow capacity than many other hoods that cost a lot more. The electronic display is much easier to clean than the buttons. I like the timer function that automatically turns off the fan after a set time. Stainless steel filters are durable and easy to clean. The plug on the power cord makes installation easier if you have a properly positioned outlet. My previous range hood was hardwired so I had to install an outlet to plug in my new range hood. I wish the clock could be set to 12 hours instead of 24 hours, but that's no big deal as most hoods don't even have a clock. The biggest problem I had was that the chimney was about 8 inches shorter which meant I had to reuse the chimney from my last hood and because the dimensions were different I had to put strips of wood behind the chimney as spacers. All in all the installation is very easy if your ceiling isn't as high as mine and you can use the included chimney. The instruction manual was good but did not describe how to install the chimney brackets and the two round spacers that came with the kit. This is a good extractor. It was packaged very well and arrived within two business days. As I said, at the beginning I am very satisfied with the quality and ease of assembly and will recommend this hood. Update: After three years of infrequent use and regular cleaning of the filters, the fan is making creaking noises. and soon froze. I am extremely disappointed. No matter how infrequently this fan is used and no matter how often the filters are cleaned, I expected this fan to last at least 10 years.
