The stock audio for the Quest is actually pretty decent considering it comes from two small speakers built into the strap attachment points. But this configuration obviously has limitations. The volume is low, there is no bass and everyone around you can hear everything. I was looking for something to overcome these limitations. I tried the standard headphones that come with most Apple phones. They sound better than the stock models, the white color goes well with the Quest 2 but tends to fall out of your ears during gaming sessions. The cables are also annoying in that you can feel them moving across your skin as you move them. Then I bought about $40 Chi Fi in-ear monitors. The sound was really fantastic, with very good bass. Beat Saber literally shocked. However, it was difficult to route the cable neatly on the Quest 2. My family didn't like having it plugged in either as they don't like using IEMs, didn't want to share IEMs so it was disabled and a lot removed. . This has become a problem. Went back to the default sound for a while until I saw them on Revain. I found a few YouTube videos that had enough positive reviews to give it a try. What one person considers acceptable sound quality varies from person to person. And Revain's flexible return policy makes it easy to try them out. So what do I think of them? They are very good and I will keep them. Sound Quality: Definitely better than standard audio, better bass and volume, and the sound is clear. Are they better than the headphones I tried? No, not even close. Too bad there was no way to adjust / press them to the ears. Pushing them closer manually makes them sound fuller and have more bass. In general they work fine. Build Quality and Installation: Solid build quality, easy to adjust. It hurts to press down on the Oculus Elite Strap so hard that the top edge of the strap gets scratched. Not randomly noticeable, but something there. I wish the wires were a little thicker. They work, but I'm not sure how long they last when moving the headphones. Appearance: I wish they were white, but black looks good on a headset. I'm using the VRcover interface and managed to hide the cable behind the cover for a neat look. Comfort: very high. No more dangling cords, just adjust the height and position on your ears. Light. does not affect placement on my AMVR booth. I keep them to myself, my daughter said she likes them. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I want the headphones to fit snugly around my ears. They sit well on the ears, but don't feel like good standalone headphones in that regard. If they were denser, the tone would rise another notch.
