I bought this DVD player for my father who is 89 years old and lives in a nursing home. I wanted something with a handy remote and big enough buttons on the unit in case he loses the remote (which happens a lot). It ticked all the boxes! DVDs play as soon as you insert them, and the remote control has buttons that are large enough to be easy to read. The player is lightweight, making it ideal for on the go. Highly recommended!
