First of all I really liked the product in general. It's durable, it gives you a really good grip on the Kindle (whose slick plastic body is pretty slippery) and will likely protect my Kindle if I drop it (which I haven't done yet, so can't say for sure) . I like the way it looks. However, there was a problem that's easily solved if you have a crafting tool (like something like a Dremel motorcycle tool). The problem was that my wife and I (I bought her the same case for her Kindle) had trouble pressing the power button. It was difficult to push on and off with the plastic cover intact. So I got out my craft tools and used a cone grinder (almost certainly the wrong one, but it worked) to drill and enlarge the hole above the power button. After that it looked pretty ugly when viewed directly (see photo), but now it's much easier to operate the power button and when you look at the screen you don't even see the mod. It didn't take long to create the mod, but there's plastic splatter all around you, so do it where it's easy to clean, and don't wear a tuxedo like me (long story). Later I did the same with the mod. external volume controls, as the plastic also makes them awkward to use, and not all Kindle software has on-screen volume controls. good price.
