Review on Mirror Mount Radar Detector Bracket for Escort MAX MAX2 - Radar Mount by Michael Welborn

I felt I should review this mount as there are no 5 star reviews. I've been using a radar detector for years, when a friend of mine suggested a transom mount with my new Passport MAX radar detector it was time for me to have something permanent instead of risking a windshield mount and wrecking my $600 radar detector. I saw the $100 mirror mount option and laughed when I decided to buy this and I'm so glad I did. This is perfect for my Focus ST and also my 2016 Mustang GT friend with rain sensor. I don't have automatic rain sensors so I didn't have to do anything to install them. I wrapped the mirror in black tape to protect the plastic and give extra support. I suggest no movement since installation. A NOTICE. I had trouble getting the mounting clip that came with the kit to hold the radar in place. It just slides in and out without snapping. I found a solution for those having this problem. Unscrew the companion's metal bracket (4 screws). The width of this clip is ideal for mounting the mirror (picture). I went to Lou. Bought a few screws and bolts and everything was ready in no time. This completely solved the problem and now my radar is back in place as usual.
