The head of hair is greater than 1 1/4 inches. Much bigger than my old sled.
I think it will take me an hour to install and secure this grip. The sled they are needed for must be over a hundred years old. The handle is dry and cracked. The finger hole is slightly uneven and just under 1 inch. I made no progress after 5 minutes of sandpaper. So I have to pull out the belt sander. The finish is a bit rough. Anyway, I'm in the business of restoring all my vintage wooden handle gardening and gardening tools.
