Compromise that might not be worth it

Update: ----------- After a long second charge of 8+ hours and another try for 1-2 hours of plug time the battery seems to be shutting down its work for more than 10 hours running time. The third time, the LED on the case was also on for at least a few minutes when it started charging, but I didn't pay attention to how long it lasted after that. I've tried a few different pairs to see what the difference is. it can provide real functionality. The phone it was intended for is the newer Motorola E4 Plus and that's what the original review was based on. I've connected it to Windows 7 and 10, as well as an older 2nd gen Moto X phone. None of them matched in function, and the timing of the buttons varied in terms of how long or short you had to press/tap for them to respond. In Windows 7, the multifunction button only enabled pairing. mode, but when used with the exact same USB stick in Windows 10, the button to pause/restart/skip tracks with a single or double tap worked as it should. On the Moto X, the button paused or started the currently playing track with a single press. It had more time between press and pause/restart to hit on 7, but short and responsive on 10 for singles or doubles. Data on Windows or on Moto X. I can only assume that Android 5.1 allowed unsolicited access and 7.1.1 on E4 wasn't as permissive. Who knows what's supposed to happen with the standard Windows Bluetooth drivers. It does not work well with the phone it was intended to be used on (E4) due to a faulty button issue. The only reason not to return it was that at least the range and sound quality were good enough to keep as a backup. Otherwise, it's not compatible with what should work via buttons, no matter what it's paired with. ---------- Initial Review --------- I'll try but so far it hasn't seemed all that seemed to come out of the commercial offering. Switching from a Blue Ant clip to a box in your pocket was the #1 compromise. On the plus side, the box says you're getting BT 4.2 and aptX, and at least the sound quality itself isn't bad. It works while the battery is charging, but now you're tied to the USB cable for hours while charging and become unportable. A way of defeating the purpose when you don't want to move while listening. Back. Do you have 10 hours of battery life? No I haven't. Do you have a multifunction button? no Does the volume stay the way it was last set on your device? no Do you like the fluffy feel of the silicone coating? In my case no. Do you like guessing how much charge your battery has? Hmm - probably not. Would you like to share your contacts and personal data? The?!? No! Received a fresh/sealed box and the battery died completely after flipping a somewhat soft slide switch to turn it on. No lights, beeps or any sign of life. This is usually a bad sign for a device with a sealed case and a non-removable battery that should hold a charge for a period of time when not in use. Within 60 seconds, the housing display will turn off. Disconnect and then reconnect and it's the same - so I'll just let it charge for 3-4 hours and cross my fingers. I came back 4 hours later and found it loaded but I have no idea if it's full or half so who knows how you'll judge when it's done. Pairing so you can listen again if your player app is set to start automatically when connected. The sound level reaches 100%. Every time and always, so forget it's happening and you'll be rudely reminded. The first round of use gave me several hours before shutting down. I didn't expect him to die so quickly and didn't pay attention to the time it took me but I reckon I had about 3 hours or so. Not quite what the specs say so I'll let it charge overnight and see how much usage time I get after that. new couple. No track skip, no fast forward, no rewind, no pause, nothing worked with any sequence or how fast or slow I pressed. My headphones have their own button and don't work even when connected to the network. So don't stray too far from your device if you want to change something else in your playlist. If I held it for 4 seconds it would unpair and start over. And yes, I'm not kidding that I'm asked to share contacts and dates. Cancel it and it will complete the pairing, but that doesn't give me much confidence that it won't share the information anyway. I. Silicone waterproofing or spray, which is still used to lubricate electronic equipment, has turned into a goo in a year or less. I'm not the type of person who likes to hold sticky gum with my bare hands and pocket lint stuck to the case. It's difficult to remove, leaves greasy fingerprints from day one, and looks awful. And finally. It definitely looks like a microphone hole. It is not mentioned in any document, on the packaging or anywhere else that this is true, but. ?
