I purchased these Blue MoBody Faux Gauge Stud Earrings and was initially impressed with their unique design. The snake eye illusion attracts attention and gives the appearance of an ear expander, but is not permanent. The surgical steel material also guarantees their hypoallergenicity, which is important for me as someone with sensitive skin. However, I was disappointed to learn that these earrings only weigh 16g, which is fairly light for those looking for an authentic caliber or cork effect. Also, the screw-on back panels are difficult to attach and easy to unscrew, which puts me at risk of losing them. While I appreciate the novelty of these earrings and their high quality material, I was hoping for a more dramatic effect. If you're looking for a subtle faux scale, this might work for you, but if you want something more impressive you'll need to look elsewhere.
