Review on Acer FreeSync Monitor - 165Hz, 1920X1080 Resolution, Wide Screen, ‎UM.QV0AA.S03, HD by Patrick Hickerson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Regular budget IPS monitor for the price.

EDIT: DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR. Acer has the worst customer service in the manufacturer's history. The monitor broke after 8 months of use. I didn't move it, didn't touch it, it has 0 fingerprints, no dust, etc. Turned it on a day later and there were gray horizontal stripes all over the monitor. Now they want me to pay shipping to fix it (over $40 where I live). There are many other consumer horror stories claiming that Acer will charge you more for damages, return the product without repair, or even return the product EVEN MORE DAMAGED than it originally was. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND, THIS MONITOR AND check out the AOC 24G2U instead. I've been using this monitor for about 6 months and here's what I think. Gain: 46B Gain: 50R,G,B Offset: 50 PROS: No dead pixels on arrival Analog button to cycle through UIIPS 144Hz 1080p at 24 inches is really great and way better compared to my old TN panel. You can mount this VESA monitor. Colors are quite realistic and bright after monitor calibration. HDMI 2.0 works well with consoles. Switching between inputs is very easy. Has 3 supported profiles that you can easily switch between. CONS: Colors look yellowish right away, not extreme. That's a pretty big design flaw. The monitor stand sucks. It is not height or swivel adjustable. You need to move the entire monitor or add a stand that fits your height. NO DISPLAY PORT CABLE. Has some IPS bleeding, but not much. With VRB on, colors are great, but brightness is so low you won't want to use this unless you can use the monitor at night with the lights off. it's so small Bottom line: if you can get the AOC 24G2U, if it's ever in stock, go get it. This monitor has more disadvantages than advantages. Even though the screen is made with the same technology as the AOC screen, the height-adjustable stand is a real stumbling block here. I didn't realize how much I missed this stand until I got the monitor and used it for a few days. Still, it's a good monitor if you plan to mount it using VESA anyway. I do a lot of Photoshop and editing which requires color accuracy and it's holding up pretty well.
