Note for PS5 users: This disc will work on PS5 but needs to be formatted through PS4 system first. PS5 (as of 09/01/2021) does not allow you to format this drive directly from the PS5's USB port. To format the drive, simply plug the USB cable into an available USB port on your PS4 system, then follow the instructions in the storage menu to format the drive for longer storage. After formatting the drive, don't forget to turn off your PS4 completely or "safely" remove the external storage from the system before unplugging it. Otherwise, you need to do a hard drive recovery after connecting to the PS5 and turning on the power. After connecting and detecting PS5, you can install/transfer PS4 games to external drive. PS5 games cannot be downloaded or played on external storage.
